Yami Gautam, who has been part of films like Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Kaabil, among others, will next be seen in Uri
The Surgical Strike. Directed by Aditya Dhar, in Uri, Yami is playing the role of an intelligence officer. Earlier today, she revealed her look from the film on social media and captioned the post, “This does look good” and “love the new look.” Yami also shared a video from the salon when she ‘broke-up’ with her long hair.
About her new look, Yami said, “I was extremely excited when the character needed this specific look for the film. When Aditya discussed it with me, I jumped at the opportunity of making my character more believable. So we did a few trials and then went ahead with it. I am loving my look, hope audiences love it too,” reports IANS.
The makers of the film shared with us the teaser of Uri, a few days ago, in which Vicky is seen gunning down terrorists in an operation and his intense gaze makes it clear that he means business. The intense paramilitary training that the actor underwent for the movie was showcased in the teaser and left one wanting more. Check out the teaser below.
Uri is a military drama, based on the real-life incident that took place in 2016, when the Indian Army conducted a surgical strike in Uri, Kashmir. Vicky Kaushal is playing the lead role in the film, conducting the operations alongside Yami, who will be seen sharing the screen space with him. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on January 11 next year.
