Karnataka Election Results LIVE Updates: The trends now seem to be going in favour of the BJP which now leads on 116 seats, ahead of the required 112-seat mark for simple majority. Meanwhile, the Congress seems to be hit by the incumbency factor and it is now leading only on 58 seats. JD(S), which was predicted to play a ‘kingmaker’ is now leading on 46 seats.
Congress local leader DK Shivakumar is leading in his constituency Kanakapura. In both SC and ST constituencies across Karnataka, BJP is leading on maximum seats.
