Padmavati Controversy: Rajput leader kept reward for Rs.5 crore on Bhansali’s head
Anger is rising among people against the film ‘Padmavati’. The Uttar Pradesh government has already expressed the hope that there will be a crisis for law and order in the state. The state government has also requested the censor board to take care of the issues before taking any decision.
So a big news is coming up now. A Rajput leader in Meerut has issued an order against Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has said that whoever cuts Bhansali head will receive five million as a reward. Not only this, Mr. Rajendra Singh of the Rajput Karani Army announced that if the Padmavati is released on December 1, then the Rajput organization will organize the bandh. On the release day we will make rallies all over the country.
Let me tell you that anger is being seen on every side against the film Padmavati. Bhansali is currently facing the anger of various groups and experts of his style. These people say that Bhansali misrepresented the Rajput empress, Rani Padmavati. During the shooting of the film, violence against the film were seen at different places in different parts of the country and now it is ready for release all over the world.
Suman Sharma, head of the Rajasthan State Women’s Commission, has requested in a letter to watch the movie before its release to CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi and verify that its contents does not attack the dignity of women. Sharma has demanded the involvement of women of Rajput community in the pre-screening of the film. He said that the statement of Deepika Padukone that “nothing can stop the release of the film” is provocative.
Ashok Paranami, head of Rajasthan unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), told the media that the Vasundhara Raje government will not tolerate any kind of distortion of historical facts.
Hina Singh Judeo, the daughter-in-law of Rajwada Dilip Singh Judeo of Chhattisgarh, expressed dissatisfaction over the depiction of Rajput Rani in the film. In the song ‘Ghoomar’, in reference to the film’s lead actress Deepika Padukone, she said, “History is a witness that no Rajput emperor is ever dancing in front of anybody and he can not play with history.” Before that, the High court rejected the petition to ban the release of the film.
