Business Education and Kaushal Development Minister Chetan Chauhan have said that getting employment of youth is at the top of the priority of the state government. In the last six months through ITI and skill development, special emphasis has been given to training the youth to get jobs and employment.
Through the two departments, employment will be provided to 10 lakh people in the next five years. Accordingly, this target has been given to 2 lakh youths this year.
Chauhan was giving information about six months of his department’s achievements in an annex media center on Thursday. In view of the Chief Minister’s intention to provide employment to the youth, the Professional Education Department and Kaushal Development Mission have set many other priorities.
In addition to training three lakh youths in employable trades in one year, besides increasing the campus selection by more than 60 percent. In six months, the training capacity of ITI has been increased to 1 lakh 25 thousand 940. Instructions have been made to recruit 1274 posts in 26 new institutes.
So far 30,000 thousand youth have got jobs
Similarly, through skill development campaign, 32 thousand youths have been trained and they have been given jobs since March. Placement of 7781 youth has been organized by organizing employment fairs in Gorakhpur, Basti, and Allahabad divisions.
From March 19 to October 23, 1 lakh 12 thousand 854 youths were registered for training while 84 thousand 866 youth were being trained.
